This is an eye-catching nail art design that uses hot pink, white/silver, and black. I can’t quite make up my mind whether this looks like a tree, a leaf, or veins. I’m guessing if you do this in orange, silver, and black, you should have a great nail art design for Halloween. The vertical lines of this design seems to emphasize the length of the nails, so you’ll find that your nails look even longer.
If you live in a part of the world Amazon does not ship to, try Born Pretty Store for similar nail art products. The site has a huge variety and offers free shipping to anywhere in the world. On top of that, the prices are really reasonable, so you could end up paying a lot less (or buy a lot more!).
I’ve already prepared my nails, but if you want to see how I do it you could read the post on nail preparation.
Step 1: Cut small pieces of sticky tape or use a nail guide and stick it across the nail diagonally. Press it down firmly to keep it from lifting.
Step 2: Apply the hot pink nail varnish and allow it to dry.
Step 3: Carefully peel off the sticky tape or guide and apply the white/silver nail polish. Allow the polish to dry before proceeding to step 4.
Step 4: Use the black nail art striper and draw a line along the join where the silver and pink polishes meet. Now draw outward lines to simulate the ‘leaf’ effect. Allow the liner to dry.
Step 5: Apply a coat of Sally Hansen’s Diamond Strength as a top coat, and spray with Rapidry spray by OPI to help set the design.
This design should last for quite a while. You should get at least five days’ wear out of this if you’re using high-quality nail polishes, and the top coat also helps to extend the life of the design. It’s definitely something different from the mainstream nail art designs out there, and is sure to get a few comments from your friends!
